Special Education Aide (High School)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Aide to assist in providing support to high school students with disabilities. The aide will work under the direction of a certified special education teacher to help create a positive and inclusive learning environment, foster student independence, and support academic and social growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and lesson plans.
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students in academic subjects, daily living skills, and social interactions.
- Help manage student behavior and promote positive peer relationships.
- Support students with organizational tasks, note-taking, and classroom assignments.
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to support student success.
Qualifications:
Must be able to pass a background check.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience working with children or adolescents, preferably in a school or special education setting.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, flexibility, and a positive attitude.
