Head Football Coach

West Fork High School is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to serve as our Head Football Coach. This position will oversee all aspects of the football program for grades 7-12, fostering a positive and competitive environment that emphasizes character development, academic excellence, and athletic achievement.

Responsibilities:


Program Leadership: Oversee and manage all aspects of the football program, including but not limited to:
Developing and implementing a comprehensive football philosophy and strategic plan.
Creating and maintaining a positive and disciplined team culture.
Organizing and supervising all team activities, including practices, games, and conditioning programs.
Managing team budgets and equipment.


Coaching and Instruction: Provide expert instruction and coaching to players at all levels (7-12), focusing on skill development, game strategy, and player safety.
Lead and supervise coaching staff, providing guidance and mentorship.
Evaluate player performance and provide constructive feedback.
Ensure compliance with all rules and regulations set forth by the Arkansas Activities Association (AAA) and West Fork High School.


Student Development: Prioritize the academic and personal development of student-athletes.
Promote academic excellence and monitor student-athlete academic progress.
Foster character development, sportsmanship, and leadership skills.
Serve as a positive role model for student-athletes.


Collaboration and Communication: Effectively communicate and collaborate with players, parents, school administration, faculty, and the community.
Maintain open and consistent communication with parents regarding team activities and player progress.
Work collaboratively with the athletic director and school administration to ensure the smooth operation of the football program.
Engage with the community to build support for the football program.


Recruiting and Player Development: Implement strategies to attract and retain student-athletes in the football program.
Develop and implement a plan for player development from the junior high level through high school.
Work with the athletic director to promote the football program within the school and community.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
Valid Arkansas teaching license.
Arkansas Coaching Endorsement.
Demonstrated successful experience as a football coach, preferably at the high school level.
Strong knowledge of football techniques, strategies, and rules.
Proven ability to lead and motivate student-athletes.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Commitment to the academic and personal development of student-athletes.
