Middle School Guidance Counselor Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Middle School Guidance Counselor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting the academic, emotional, and social development of our students. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing individual and group counseling sessions to address personal, social, and academic issues.
- Assisting students with course selection, career exploration, and goal setting.
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop strategies for student success.
- Identifying and addressing any barriers to learning and development.
- Conducting workshops and programs on topics such as bullying prevention, stress management, and conflict resolution.
- Maintaining accurate records and confidentiality of student information.
- Working on master scheduling and knowledge of Eschool.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in School Counseling or related field.
- State certification as a School Counselor.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working with middle school-aged children preferred.
