High School Agriculture Teacher

Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a High School Agriculture Teacher. Responsibilities:

*Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with state standards and curriculum guidelines.
*Teach a variety of agricultural topics, including plant science, animal science, agricultural mechanics, agribusiness, and natural resources management.
*Utilize hands-on learning experiences, such as laboratory activities, field trips, and project-based learning, to enhance student understanding and retention.
*Assess student learning through a variety of methods, including quizzes, tests, projects, and presentations, and provide timely feedback to students and parents.
*Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and respected.
*Provide guidance and mentorship to students participating in agricultural organizations and competitions, such as FFA (Future Farmers of America) and 4-H.
*Collaborate with colleagues to integrate agricultural concepts into other subject areas and participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with industry trends.
*Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and performance, and communicate regularly with parents and administrators regarding student progress.
*Manage the agricultural program budget, including purchasing supplies and equipment, and ensure that all safety protocols are followed in the classroom and laboratory.
*Participate in school and community events, such as parent-teacher conferences, open houses, and agricultural fairs, to promote the program and engage with stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

*Bachelor’s degree in agricultural education, agriculture, or a related field.
*Valid teaching license or eligibility for licensure in the state of Arkansas.
*Previous teaching experience, preferably at the high school level, and a strong knowledge of agricultural science concepts and practices.
*Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate complex ideas and engage students in learning through a variety of instructional methods.
*Experience with curriculum development, assessment, and classroom management strategies.
*Passion for agriculture and a commitment to promoting agriculture and awareness among students.
*Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities effectively.
*Flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of students and accommodate changes in curriculum or scheduling.
*Collaborative mindset and willingness to work closely with colleagues, parents, and community partners to support student success.
*Familiarity with technology tools and resources relevant to agricultural education, such as agricultural software, online resources, and educational apps.

The successful candidate will play a vital role in preparing students for careers in agriculture and related fields while fostering a love for learning and appreciation for the agricultural industry.
