Systems Administrator

Description

We are seeking a skilled Systems Administrator to join our team in the K-12 education industry. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in the management and maintenance of our organization’s computer systems and networks. The successful candidate will have a strong technical background and a passion for providing excellent customer service.

As a Systems Administrator, you will play a crucial role in implementing, supporting, and maintaining our technology infrastructure. You will collaborate with a team to resolve technical issues, optimize system performance, and implement system upgrades and patches. You will be responsible for assisting with monitoring system health, ensuring data security and backup, and managing user accounts and permissions. Additionally, you will be responsible for repairs of end-user devices.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain computer systems and servers
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues and provide timely resolution
  • Suggest system upgrades and patches to improve system performance
  • Suggest and maintain data backup and recovery strategies
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access levels
  • Ensure data security and protect against unauthorized access
  • Collaborate with teams to identify and resolve technical issues
  • Provide technical support and training to end-users

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, and networking
  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows operating systems (Windows Server, Windows 11)
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, Proxmox)
  • Knowledge of network security protocols
  • Experience with Google Admin Console
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proactive attitude and ability to work independently
  • Experience in the education industry is a plus

Beginning Rate of Pay: $15.90/hour
